God’s Present

There’s no use living there
Where things can’t be undone

There’s no use living there
Or else the devil’s won

The present moment is full of life
Lamenting the past will bring you strife

Focus now and you will see
All that surrounds you is meant to be

Guiding you closer to your best path
The further you stray from it feels like wrath

It’s often a reminder that gets your attention
Coming back to God is a beautiful prevention

For the zig zagging pain-filled circuitous route
But with God’s grace and guidance you will be astute

And become the greatest version of your self and soul
Following God’s guidance is a grace and a goal
