Letter to President Biden

On March 31, 2021

Dear President Biden,

I hope this letter finds you well. As the mother of a child who was injured by her first round of vaccines at two months old and the wife of a West Point graduate who has fought for our country, I was particularly disturbed by a recent Wall Street Journal article discussing vaccine passports as an initiative by your administration. This overreach compromises civil liberty and also holistic health. Let the pandemic be a wake up call for healing in our nation and world. Vaccines, unfortunately, do not equal health - I wish it was that simple. Government energy could spearhead so many incredible policies that would help our nation build true health - the health already obtained by so many who fared very well after being infected with COVID 19.

Let’s look at those individuals who were asymptomatic or who had minor cold symptoms as a result of COVID 19. Let’s assess their vitamin levels, their diet and access to whole and healthy food, their level of stress, their initiative to exercise, their exposure to natural illness. Let’s learn from them, not coerce them into taking a vaccine that they do not need having already begun to build natural immunity after their COVID 19 exposure. Let’s not coerce our society into a medical intervention by taking away their rights to travel and to return to work among other rights belonging to those in a country founded on life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

I pray for you and for your administration that you take this opportunity to focus on policies that help to build our nation and all of the people who are a part of it. Continuing to create and mandate or strongly require vaccines for each encountered illness is unsustainable. Think of the load of vaccines already burdening our children. Continuing to add to this is hurtful if not overtly, as what happened to my child and to so many children, but also covertly as our natural immune systems continue to be overridden.

With love,

Sarah Miorin
